Product Description

Baseboard heater with digital controls

Amazon.com Review

Stay cozy through the dark days of winter with this quiet digital heater from Honeywell. The 120-volt heater offers a cost-effective alternative to a central heating system, or can bring warmth to an area of activity while the overall household system runs on low. A range of safety features and Electrical Climate Control (EEC) further endear this easy-to-use heater to users.

Honeywell crafted the low profile heater with flame-resistant plastic. Users monitor temperatures on an oversized LCD screen. The push-button digital comfort control allows users to designate preferred climate temperatures. Once the heater reaches the desired temperature, it displays the information on the heat indicator badge and upholds the level by EEC. Operating at a 1500-watt output, the heater uses a three-prong grounded plug to affix to power outlets. A programmable timer function enables users to predetermine automatic shut-off up in one to ten hours. For fire safety, the heater also automatically shuts off upon knock-over or if overheating. Power and caution lights also enhance safety. Do not place the heater outdoors or near flammables and avoid running the power line under carpeting. Thorough safety guidelines and assembly instructions are included. A limited five-year warranty covers this item. The heater weighs 13.1 pounds upon shipping --Jessica Reuling

This review is from: Honeywell Baseboard Heater (Kitchen)
We needed a supplemental electric space heater for an unheated bedroom in our home that is occasionally used by guests. I selected this model over the Honeywell HZ515 because it has a screen to display the temperature instead of just a selector dial. We own one other electric heater that has a thermostat without a display, and it is much harder on that Delonghi unit for someone to set the temperature without consulting the manual. This heater is quite straightforward to operate in comparison.

If you simply push the power button, the unit will come on at full power and keep heating at full power until you turn it off again.

If you push the power button and then use the up- and down-arrow buttons, you can select a temperature (in Fahrenheit or Celsius) that the unit will attempt to maintain (up to its 1500 W capacity) until you turn it off.

If you push power, then use the arrows to select a temperature, and then push the timer button (and use the arrows... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great heater, October 17, 2007

This heater really heats up a room in a hurry. To provide some context, my kitchen is in the vicinity of 120 square feet, and it only takes 5 minutes or so to heat up after turning this heater on. As advertised, it is indeed silent. And even when first turning it on, it didn't emit that nasty new-heater smell. This heater is a great value and I'm glad I bought it.

1.0 out of 5 stars unreliable, January 27, 2008
This review is from: Honeywell Baseboard Heater (Kitchen)
I own five of these, and heat my home with them (and five upright oil-filled types).

Pros: usually safe to touch, non-electronic glowing badge-type overheat indicator, timer, quiet, five-year warrantee, great flexible 16-gage 3-wire cord (stays cool), appears to be of highest quality, inexpensive.

Cons: Although there is a bright bulb indicating the unit is on, the LCD panel is unlit by it, so you can't check the indicator easily when it is dark. This is important, because the heaters sometimes reset themselves to maximum, so you need to look at the panel repeatedly during the night.

The timer only works for shut-off, not for timed turn-on, so you can't use it for programmed heating, such as warming up for the morning, or warming up for return in the afternoon.

Timer and temp settings are lost when powered off (no back-up battery or constant power to the panel from the plug).

Temp settings unpredictably reset to maximum, so you... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice dark lines, writes on anything, May 18, 2011

I usally purchase these at stores like Joannes crafts, Michael's and such but the price is usally $8-9 so I was happy to find them here for a lot less (If you get the free shipping of course) I like to draw on poster board, but have found that el-markos and sharpies, just do not cut it, but these do. They make a nice bold line, thats covers all and looks great, the only thing I would say is, do not puch down to hard when you write like you would a pen as it will make the paint come out to fast and you will run out. Just lightly touch it to your work, and when you need more press a little on the tip (That is how it loads) and go right back to using.

Great for making cards, signs, art on walls, mark objects under the hood. Great marker medium tip is much better than the chisel tip I had previously. Cheaper than in store especially Michaels!

1.0 out of 5 stars The worst., January 7, 2012
By
This review is from: Elmer's Painters Opaque Paint Marker, Medium Tip, Black (Kitchen)
The instructions say to 'shake well.' This serves the sole purpose of making sure the cap becomes good and filled with paint before you use it so that when you do finally uncap the pen the paint is sure to spill out over your work, yourself and your hands.

Further more, upon attempting to use the product, it proceeded to spill paint all over my project in heavy globs. Pen- no- delivery system of excessive amounts of paint- yes.

Garbage product.

This review is from: Final Fantasy XI Online: The Vana'diel Collection 2008 (Video Game)
I've started my third year playing this game after a six month break and am now enjoying it more than ever. This is a game that requires a lot of time for everything. Time to go from place to place, time to level up your jobs (I don't say character because you play any job you want to and switch from job to job without making a new character). It also takes a lot of time to make money and there are many ways to make money in the game it just requires ALOT of patience.

Getting started in this game can be very difficult and frustrating at times but if you talk to people most of them will help you out and guide you to where you need to get to. The game starts you out with you choosing the race you want to play as throught the game. The races you get to choose from are Hume's (male or female), Elvaan's (male or female), Mithra's (female only), Galka's (male only) and the Tarutaru's (male and female). Although there aren't a lot of different races there are many different... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Always a good choice, January 29, 2009

This review is from: Final Fantasy XI Online: The Vana'diel Collection 2008 (Video Game)
I played this game for quite a while a few years back, and though it may be hard for new players to find their spot in the game, i cant deny that this game is one of the best MMORPGs ive ever played. The player can get immersed in this game to a level unlike other games. The Final Fantasy world provides YEARS (not even exageratting) of exploration.
though the leveling system may be very slow moving, the grind is worth it. id recommend this game to anyone. If you buy it, my name is Shalafayne, and id be glad to help you start the game, and link you with a good set of friends, as this is what can make or break the game for you. Buy it!

A very good MMORPG in my own opinion. A little more complex than World Of Warcraft. But very enjoyable with some good friends.
