I have a 10 year old Huffy Verona 18 speed mountain bike, that originally had Falcon MLG-26i twist shifters, these falcon shifters are very common in low-end mountain bikes. The Falcon shifter cracked and was beyond repair. I searched for a twist shifter replacement locally, the only replacements i found where Shimano shifters that cost more than the old bike itself. The Sram MRX was an excellent replacement at a very low price.The price on the Sram cannot be beat, and the shipping was ultra fast, it only took 4 days from the time I ordered to arrive. Installation is very easy, since the SRAM MRX already includes the cable. The instruction sheet is a little lacking, only having instructions on how to install the shifter on the handle, not how to adjust the derailleur. There are plenty of tutorials on-line on how to adjust once installed. The Sram shifter is much smoother than my old Falcon, it feels more like a friction shifter than an index one, except for the slight...
