4.0 out of 5 stars Martin Jaguar Traditional Takedown Kit, August 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I am very pleased with the Martin Jaguar Takedown Bow Kit that I bought recently. As a novice bow user I found instructions online for assembly, stringing and use. I have added some customizing accessories to extend the life of the bow. The ability to be able to quickly take down the bow for easy transport is a real plus. Overall, I would recommend this bow to novice and experienced individuals.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love Mine!, January 28, 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I did alot of research before my purchase only to find that some people have horrible reviews but others have great reviews. First off, I was not impressed with a few things included, for instance:
1) the string that came with it was a 58 and should have been a 60 AMO (just for those interested, make sure you look at it through martin.com and get the right one)
2) the arrow rest is made of cheap plastic I personally also purchased a Sure Shot Whisker Biscuit for mine and a Martin slide slot nut to be able to mount it, but if you do use the plastic rest PLEASE invest in some feather fletched or Flu Flu arrows otherwise you ARE going to rip the fletchings off and will not be a consistant and accurate shot
3) the case is an arrow case which is ok but it is not meant for the purpose they are useing it for here. However, there are cases out there specifically for take down bows, Cartel makes a couple of good ones for $25-$40 check them out if your interested otherwise some... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Bow for the Money, November 15, 2011
This review is from: Martin Jaguar Takedown Bow Kit (Sports)
I waited a long time to write this review. I had read so many things about broken limbs and delamination, that I wanted to put mine to the test before I wrote this review. I have now put well over 500 arrows down range with this bow and have had exactly ZERO issues with it (I have the 45# limbs and I disassemble the bow when not in use). I purchased the complete set and it came with a few arrows (decent ones), the case, arm guard and stuff like that. I immediately set this up like my compound bow with a new arrow rest (the one that comes with it is a joke) release loop and all the sights, including a peep sight. The weight of my bow was 45# at 28 inches, but with the release I was pulling at almost 30 inches, so was getting more out of the bow. I have since taken the bow back to a more traditional setup and enjoy it more that way. I would recommend this bow to anyone, it has been a real positive experience for me, and the bow looks great, I get comments on it every time I take... Read more
