This review is from: Plano Guide Series Soft Rod/Reel Case (Sports) I bought this expecting to be able to store my 6' 6" medium action (2 piece) rod. The tube inside the case is so small the bottom guide won't fit inside the tube. My light and ultra light rods fit, so all is not lost, but I am disappointed a standard medium rod is a no go. The inside diameter of the rod tube is approximately 2". This review is from: Plano Guide Series Soft Rod/Reel Case (Sports) Not bad, but this case can only hold about two ice fishing rods. If that works for you, you'll be fine. I like to take at least four with different line weights and reels because I am high maintenance, I guess. at any rate, it does beat a bucket and has a nifty pocket for your fishing license.
