I thought I was buying a bilge pump for my boat but somehow, through my own error, ordered a 12" piece of black plastic tubing. When the package arrive I was amazed at how little my new pump weighed. The disappointment of my face when I opened the package must have been obvious and hilarious because my wife is still laughing about it. The little black tube cost 99 cents but shipping was something like $7. A mile of this stuff would cost $42,000 which is about the same as a mile of transatlantic cable. It's not really worth the time and effort to send it back so I have been trying to find a use for it. Inspired by watching the World Cup I tried using it as a vevuzela, but, no. Maybe if I order a vevuzela I will get a bilge pump! So, my little $8 piece of black plastic tubing will take its place of honor in my shop until one day I will have the perfect application for it.
