Ovation Celebrity Standard Left-Handed Acoustic-Electric Guitar Honeyburst Reviews

I have had this guitar for about two months now. My first Ovation! I love the sound. It is clear, bright and when amplified totally blows away my Washburn. The thin neck took a bit of getting used to but now I am quite comfortable. As for the "round back" complaint (guitar slips while seated), I hardly pay attention. I don't use a strap and now I naturally just slipe the guitar back into position while I play. I don't even notice anymore! Great guitar. I am very satified.

Although there are those that complain about the round backed guitars sliding while seated, I have found this not to be an issue. The textured back does well at stoppping this problem. The finish is flawless. The neck took only a second to get used to. It is definitely like an electric guitar neck, much like the early carvin electric guitars. Very comfortable and VERY easy to play. Sound projects well. Although not capable of the bass tones in the big bodied concert guitars, it is very capable of producing tones comparable to the best dreadnaughts. The nuances that you can pull out are very noticable. Where this guitar really shines is plugged in. I used it through a Crate V-33 witha 4X12 cabinet, and D@#$^!!!! What an amazing tone! More importantly, the feedback problems associated wiith most acoustics is almost completely gone. An amazing beauty of a guitar, easy to play, and a crowd pleaser.
