The Gripmaster is less expensive but harder to hold in my larger hands. That one was 5 lbs. This one is 9 lbs. I was doing over 200 reps each hand with the 5 lb. model. So I felt I needed something more, so I bought this one. I'm doing 100 reps on this one and that's for fingertips. My wife is now using the 5 lb Grip Master. The thing I like about the Digi-Flex is that it has a much larger grip but is still very compact. Yes, it costs a lot more but it's worth it. I don't have to reposition it every 25 reps like the Grip Master. I think this is the strongest they make at 9 lb. Overall I'd reccomend the Digi-Flex over the Grip Master. Just remember that you have to switch to thumb exercies as well as fingertips. I have been using it to keep my hand moving and to strengthen it. It works really well. I will use it when I am driving. My left hand is now as strong as my right again.
