1.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy rivets, August 10, 2010
This review is from: Garelick/EEz-In 35029-62:01 Marine Anodized Aluminum Padded Deck Chair (Automotive)
Very comfortable and easy to store. Flimsy rivets tend to snap without warning. After two chairs collapsed I threw the third one away. Waste of money

1.0 out of 5 stars Rivets break, chair collapses, June 6, 2011

Similar to the other reviewer, my chairs had rivet failures.
These are nice looking chairs, very stiff to fold when new. They fit in the trunk of my small sports car easily so they are used for short local trips by my wife and I. Used sparingly, never in sand and stored in the garage, I've had them about 2 years and they look almost new.
    That's the good news.
After half a dozen uses one of the chairs rivets broke and almost sent me to the ground, I am 6'1" & 260 lbs (all muscle - LOL), my wife is trim. I repaired the rivet with a strong screw/lock nut and looked at the other rivets, some were stressed but holding.
The other day we were at a local park and this time a rivet broke and I went backwards/upside down, it was almost comical.
I was sort of stuck and finally extricated myself, my big bunch of keys on my belt was snagged in a bent aluminum tube when the chair collapsed causing the difficulty getting on my feet - I was attached. I wish someone... Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Rivets don't last at all, September 6, 2011

Loved the chairs when we first received them for the cockpit of our boat. The chairs were always rinsed and brought inside after use. They were also very comfortable until the rivets started to break. My husband replaced the first broken rivets with nuts & bolts - by the time the 2nd & 3rd rivets started to break and collapse the chairs, they went flying into the dumpster. Like the previous reviewer said the warranty is guaranteed to make you NOT use it!! Very expensive throw away chairs! Garelick should be ashamed of themselves!
