Preval comes in two parts: an aerosol power unit and a glass jar. The two pieces attach by twisting on the jar to the bottom of the aerosol unit. The Preval spray system is meant to be refillable and is small enough to be portable, whether you place it in your tool box, under the sink, or in your pocket. The Preval is the perfect pocket-size sprayer for small finishing or touch up jobs. Preval can handle all kinds of finish including paints, lacquer, shellac and gel coats. Each power unit (available separately) sprays up to 16oz. of liquid.

If you're dealing with latex paint and you know what you're doing: 3 stars. If you're dealing with latex paint and don't know what you're doing: 1 star. The good: - The idea of being able to spray various types of materials/mediums with a small, simple sprayer is brilliant - This unit is ideal for small projects that DON'T require latex paints - The price (at least w/o shipping) is easy on your pocketbook - Measuring the volume of liquid added to the glass container is very easy The bad: - It does NOT spray all materials well, particularly latex interior paints - The thinning information for "water-based paints" (which therefore includes latex) is confusing; the PreVal box says thin it at a ratio of 3 to 1 but PreVal's website says thin it at a ratio of 3 to 2.
